My visit to Kolkata I was presenting my

to the members of the Ramgarhia Sewak
Sabha, Kolkata. After completion a
gentleman told me about the mother of a son
who became
a certified instructor of scuba diving. He
note my
contact number. Next day I received a call
from Capt Sukhdev Singh Warna and he introduce
himself as father of Rajpreet Kaur Warna
(Ramgarhia) the First Ramgarhia Sikh girl in
scuba diving. We fix a meeting and reached
home with S. Balwant Singh Sall and S.
Gurdev Singh Deosi.

Rajpreet Kaur born on 10th January 1979 to Smt Ravneet Kaur Jabble
at Kolkatta. Her father Capt. Sukhdev Singh Warna served the Indian
army. He earned a respectful status among Ramgarhia brethren in
Kolkata. The
family belongs to Gurdaspur District of Punjab and shifted to
Kolkata in 1970.
Rajpreet did matriculation from the National High School for girls, Kolkata in 1991. Graduation with Honours from
the St.
Xavier's College Kolkata. She
always concentrated on her studies and never took part in any other
extra curricular activities during her academic period.
She married in 2000. After marriage, she continued her
studies as well as taking care of family and other household
works.
Her passion for studies does not stopped
her. She did Masters in Business Management in 2004.
During the studies, she delivered a cute
handsome baby boy in 2002 named Yuvraj Singh .

She never stepped into
a pool. She learned swimming at age of 33 years. In
October 2011, she
learned to swim, in December 2011 she finished her
confined water, Open Water , Advance
Open water and Rescue Diver in March ’12 .
The most difficult
part was when in October 2012 She completed the Dive Master
from Andaman. It is a world dominated by men, and she wasn’t even
physically strong ! But her parents motivate her, if
boys can do, so can you.
She builds the stamina to swim against
the current. Being the only woman diver in training,
strengthened her will to promote the sport amongst women
in India.
In November 2012, She completed the Scuba Instructor
course from Thailand. To clear the course, one needs to
pass a five-part theory exam scoring 75 per cent in each
part, perform a facedown, non-stop swim for 800 meters
using a mask, snorkel and show proof of at
least 100 logged open water Scuba dives before attending
the Professional Association
of Diving Instructors ( PADI) Instructor examination (IE).
Proud to be the only Sikh woman Scuba
Instructor in India ,
certified by the Professional
Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) the world’s
largest diver-training organisation. She is also
the first Sikh to be a Specialty Instructor
and qualify for the Master Scuba Diving Trainer (MSDT) in
our Sikh Community in India as well as in the World.
Rajpreet Share that
once
you are certified as an instructor, you can teach Scuba
diving
in
any
part of the world.

Now she started his own company "Bubble and Fun". She
wants to make every child fearless in the water. She
introduces a diving course in some
Kolkata schools .
The mission is that the kids who are good in Swimming can be given a
certificate and taken to the Andamans to clear the
basic levels of the diving test.
She is a single mother to a 14-year-old son. she
wants to be an inspiration for him.
As a token of
respect to our Sikh Community she have unfurled "Khalsa
Flag" 60 feet underwater in Netrani Island, off coast of
Karnataka, first person to do so in our Sikh history.
